Antisocial Personality Disorder

by Grace4Ayla on August 23, 2012

I recently brought up a theory that Justin DiPietro may be a sociopath, and this is the reason he murdered his daughter, Ayla Reynolds. I was told to “Google It,” and was summarily dismissed by an anonymous but self-described “forensic psychology student.” So Obscure, this one’s for you.

According to

Diagnostic Criteria – Mental Health made easy.

1.  Since the age of fifteen there has been a disregard for and violation of the right’s of others, those right’s considered normal by the local culture,  as indicated by at least three of the following:

A.  Repeated acts that could lead to arrest.

B.  Conning for pleasure or profit,  repeated lying,  or the use of aliases.

C.  Failure to plan ahead or being impulsive.

D.  Repeated assaults on others.

E.  Reckless when it comes to their or others safety.

F.  Poor work behavior or failure to honor financial obligations.

G.  Rationalizing the pain they inflict on others.

2.  At least eighteen years in age.

3.  Evidence of a Conduct Disorder,  with its onset before the age of fifteen.

4.  Symptoms not due to another mental disorder.

Let’s review these symptom’s one by one and see if we can fit any to Justin DiPietro.

The first one is “Repeated acts that could lead to arrest.” Now Obscure, I know you are still a student, but real life is one hell of a teacher. I had a psychopath tell me once:

“Nothing in life is wrong, the only thing that is wrong is getting caught.”

He did get caught however. A lot. He got caught coming back across the border with 300 pounds of marijuana by the DEA. But you won’t find that on his record anywhere. Oh yes, some of them are that good. The rest are in prison.

The next one is “Conning for pleasure or profit.”  While it is true that I do not know Justin DiPietro, I think certain facts speak for themselves. Two women pregnant while dating a third single mother? One suspected abuse and still slept with him? Courtney Roberts even now commenting on Facebook sites what a “stud” he is?

Keep in mind, we only need three, not all.

Up next is “Failure to plan ahead or being impulsive.” Well if that doesn’t describe this whole hare-brained scheme I don’t know what does, but then, I’m not a psychopath am I? But for the sake of argument, refer to my point above – two unwanted pregnancies does not a planner make.

Then we have “Repeated assaults on others.” Well, if Trista is to be believed, he abused Ayla, to the point of breaking her arm. I have to agree with Peter Hyatt on this one. Justin’s phony story of how Ayla was hurt is one of the worst I have ever heard, and I have heard a lot. Ted Bundy never assaulted anyone except females he was alone with that were never heard from again. Scott Peterson was never arrested for any type of physical assault against family or any one else before he murdered Laci.

“Reckless when it comes to their or others safety” is an interesting trait. Justin sure didn’t mind driving the get away car for Lance. Or leaving the doors possibly unlocked after receiving threats that Ayla would be “taken” and letting her sleep alone upstairs. Or even forcing his girlfriend and her baby to sleep down in the basement with a broken window, on bloody sheets no less.

(An aside to Selena here, where was all the concern for cleanliness you mentioned on Obscure’s blog? Wasn’t this your reasoning behind the blood evidence being cleaned? Why wasn’t the baby gate moved for Courtney’s little boy? He could have climbed up those stairs and fallen back down while Justin and Courtney slept. Or gone out the unlocked back door, don’t you think? But the baby gate remained in the hallway preventing the babies from reaching the kitchen? I’m sorry, but I am confused!)

Peter Hyatt has reported on his blog that Justin has walked off jobs in anger. Jeff Hanson proved to us that Justin was behind on his child support payments. I think this could be construed as a pattern of “Poor work habits and failure to honor financial obligations.”

And finally, “Rationalizing the pain they cause to others.” Again, I don’t know the man. Only those closest to him can answer this. I will say he has no lack of supporters willing to rationalize for him.

So, by my count we can THEORIZE at least 3 of these symptoms.

Next, Justin is over 18 years of age.

Now we finally get to that pesky CD Ms. Obscure tried to taunt me with.

Conduct disorder.  What is a conduct disorder?

Conduct Disorder

“Conduct disorder” refers to a group of behavioral and emotional problems in youngsters. Children and adolescents with this disorder have great difficulty following rules and behaving in a socially acceptable way. They are often viewed by other children, adults and social agencies as “bad” or delinquent, rather than mentally ill. Many factors may contribute to a child developing conduct disorder, including brain damage, child abuse or neglect, genetic vulnerability, school failure, and traumatic life experiences.

Children or adolescents with conduct disorder may exhibit some of the following behaviors:

Aggression to people and animals

Destruction of Property

Deceitfulness, lying, or stealing

  • has broken into someone else’s building, house, or car
  • lies to obtain goods, or favors or to avoid obligations
  • steals items without confronting a victim (e.g. shoplifting, but without breaking and entering)

Serious violations of rules

  • often stays out at night despite parental objections
  • runs away from home
  • often truant from school

Children who exhibit these behaviors should receive a comprehensive evaluation by an experience mental health professional. Many children with a conduct disorder may have coexisting conditions such as mood disordersanxietyPTSDsubstance abuse,ADHDlearning problems, or thought disorders which can also be treated. Research shows that youngsters with conduct disorder are likely to have ongoing problems if they and their families do not receive early and comprehensive treatment. Without treatment, many youngsters with conduct disorder are unable to adapt to the demands of adulthood and continue to have problems with relationships and holding a job. They often break laws or behave in an antisocial manner.

Now again, I offer no direct evidence as I have no personal knowledge of Justin DiPietro as a child, but just taking into consideration his family (no father figure, older brother definitely violent, promiscuous mother and younger sister), and the few pieces of gossip I have heard, I would hazard a guess that Justin did indeed show signs of conduct disorder. Ted Bundy never did, although his teachers and classmates often described him as shy and retiring (sound like somebody else we know?). We have heard of incidents of bullying (refuted by Selena that Justin had no pets) and one incident where Justin allegedly hid himself inside a Radio Shack for the purpose of robbery only to find himself locked in. He supposedly went to sleep until the next day. I find this to be evidence not only of conduct disorder, but chillingly of his already psychopathic tendencies. He wasn’t worried. He went to sleep.

Another rumor I found particularly interesting is the story of about a local bar, where Phoebe DiPietro was supposedly once employed that was burned down, with someone inside. I don’t know the particulars on this story, but allegedly, Phoebe was investigated for it, prompting her to leave town and move ALL THE WAY TO CALIFORNIA.  Not only that, but rumor has it this move was also made to be closer to Justin’s father, who was possibly a married military man. Another coincidence in a long line of coincidences?

This other psychopath I mentioned earlier, let me tell you a bit about him. One night, when he was 15, he broke into the store where he worked and stole $3000.00 in cash. He turned right around the next morning and opened the store, reported the burglary, assisted the cops and got his picture in the paper. Ted Bundy worked for state elected officials and suicide hotlines while murdering young women. Rodney Alcala, another psychopath appeared on the Dating Game.

Could Justin be capable of what I am accusing him of? I haven’t found any evidence that he couldn’t be.
