Lawsuits of the Rich and Famous

by Grace4Ayla on August 29, 2016

Almost sounds like a reality show, doesn’t it? I am speaking of the latest tactic by Trista Reynolds, mother of missing toddler Ayla Bell Reynolds, to elicit some kind of response or reaction from Ayla’s father, Justin DiPietro. They have announced they are going to pursue a civil wrongful death action against him, his mother Phoebe DiPietro, his sister Elisha DiPietro and his ex-girlfriend Courtney Roberts.

The Reynold’s clan has been busy advertising their GoFundMe site to raise money for what they consider their first step of their plan, obtaining Ayla’s death certificate.

But is this plan even feasible? What are the pro’s and con’s? Is this the only method of obtaining Justice for Ayla?

According to the Go Fund Me site, Jeff Hanson has raised over $1200 towards the probate fees to file for Ayla’s death certificate, and they held a bike run on August 27, 2016 to raise the remainder.  Michael T. Bigos, from the “prestigious” (Jeff’s words, not mine) law firm of Berman & Simmons (he’s not a partner?), has been retained to handle the wrongful death suit. They’ve been around over 100 years, and they specialize in personal injury and medical malpractice. In other words, good old ambulance chasers. Still, they have some impressive wins in wrongful death suits. I am sure the DiPietro’s and company are suitably worried.

But what would a wrongful death suit entail, and how could it benefit Trista? It certainly won’t benefit her financially, none of them have any money. If you believe Trista’s interviews, she is convinced that it will bring out information that will help reveal what happened to Ayla and where she is now. But will it?

Sure, she will be able to depose the DiPietro’s and force them to testify. But just like DeDe Spicher did in the Kyron Horman wrongful death suit, all they need to do is assert their 5th amendment rights. I highly doubt any new information will be obtained.

More importantly, they will have the opportunity to depose and require Trista to testify in return. I wonder what questions they might have for her? I wonder what questions Trista will assert her 5th amendment rights on? And all the pleadings will be public information. Anyone will be able to read the file.

This lawsuit might be Trista’s “Pandora’s Box”. She might be letting something out she can’t ever put back in.

For instance, if Trista asks or refers to anything about Karen Small and Child Protective Services, it may open the door for the DiPietro’s to obtain and enter into evidence all of the reports against Trista. Wouldn’t that be interesting? We might finally find out what really happened in the so-called family team meeting, and why CPS tried to terminate her parental right to Raymond. So much we could learn!

Between you and me, I think the wrongful death suit is just a diversion tactic. I believe that once Trista gets the death certificate her next stop will be State Farm Insurance Company. The wrongful death suit will never be filed, and we may never hear from Trista and Jeff again. I hope I am wrong. I hope they are dumb enough to go through with it. I will attend every open hearing. I’ll even bring the popcorn! lol

On a personal note I am working on a new astrology blog. It should be open in a couple of weeks, after retrograde Mercury! Stay tuned!

Update: Speaking of the law, did everyone see this? I missed it.

Tori did it again.  Will she ever learn? She may do some prison time for this one. It’s a shame. Who will raise Ava? Anthony’s possibly drug addicted mother or Tori’s mother who is already raising her son? I feel badly for those kids, I really do. What kind of example are they setting for their children?
